It's Passion Fruit Season! They come and go throughout the year, notice how they appear right before winter, whispering "Hey, you better stock up on Vitamic C" before the cold season begins.
My husband's favourite fruit drink! He grew up in Tanzania, where you get varieties going all the way from yellow to red (and orange in between). He thrives on sour and astringent flavous and can never get enough on those acid flavours and lime pickles! On the other hand, passion fruit have always been my mom's worst nightmare! It lowers blood pressure, so she would feel lightheaded and dizzy before she discovered her sensitivity for the effect. Great news for those suffering from hypertension though!
This mouth watering, light and refreshing sorbet brings those sour, bitter, astringent and sweet flavours in one bite!
